Sandy Richardson has been a senior organizational development and business
performance excellence professional for over 20 years. Most importantly, she has
been in your shoes, working from within to facilitate change; develop and implement
a strategy/strategy map and balanced scorecard; and create a strategy
focused organization. She understands your challenges better than most
consultants!

Here's her unique story:
In 1996, Sandy joined the Canada Life Assurance Company in Toronto, ON, Canada
as the manager of a best practices development team within the Group Insurance
Operation. In 1997, when the VP of the Operation decided to adopt a new business
management tool called the balanced scorecard, Sandy was fortunate to be
selected for the team tasked with developing and implementing the Group Life and
Health (GLH) Balanced Scorecard. Little did she know that this experience would
change her life forever!

After the launch of the GLH Balanced Scorecard, Sandy took on responsibility for
the ongoing management and continuous improvement of the Operation's strategic
planning process and balanced scorecard. She completed this role over five
years/planning cycles. Sandy is the first one to tell you that they made all the
classic strategy and BSC management mistakes over these years BUT she
wouldn't trade this experience for anything. This is because today she uses these
learning experiences to help organizations develop and implement their strategic
plan, strategy map, and balanced scorecard quickly and efficiently - avoiding the
usual pitfalls along the way.

As a consultant, Sandy has worked with organizations in a variety of business
sectors and industries in both Canada and the United States* to build sustainable,
strategy focused organizations and successfully achieve their organizational
performance goals. She is a recognized subject matter expert in the areas of
strategic planning, strategy mapping, performance measurement and management,
accountability and governance framework development, and organizational
alignment. She is a master balanced scorecard practitioner and trainer, and an
expert facilitator. As a published author, conference speaker, and blogger, Sandy
